The heavy duty
Heavy Duty Poppers also came about because of customer input.
A contractor was using a Homesteader Popper for construction and demolition work when he realized that the geometry and leverage would be very useful for jobs way-beyond pallets, deck boards and general demo’ work. He offered that if we could keep the same geometry, but make a popper that could stand up to excess “prying jobs”, way beyond the application of Crafters or Homesteaders, then contractors would really appreciate the Heavy Duty strength.
Thus, Heavy Duty Poppers came into being, and are finished in a distinctive
“INDUSTRIAL ORANGE”.
The handles also have a black “safety grip” applied because these poppers can be found at work in any weather condition. For the same reason, the handles have a drain hole added to the bottom of them to reduce the chance of water being trapped in them, freezing, thus damaging the popper.
The biggest advantage though, is that the shoe is re-designed using high tensile steel, and is not only thicker, but 300% stronger than the shoes of the Crafter or Homesteader poppers.
The Heavy Duty comes in “Industrial Orange”.
Would I buy a Pallet Popper? Yes! I am in the house renovation business. My boss and I were struggling with the removal of a deck because the homeowner wanted to save all of the wood.
After using hammers, various prybars, and expending much energy, we became increasingly frustrated. I suggested to my boss that we try a Pallet Popper that I had seen in our building store. Using the Pallet Popper enabled us to finish the job 4-5 times faster with much less effort. We also found it to be useful in new construction as a general pry bar. Would I recommend the Pallet Popper to a friend?
Absolutely.
