The homesteader

After the introduction of the original popper to the crafter market, it became obvious that owners were experimenting with poppers to make other jobs easier.

One of these creative ladies is a farmer who urged us to make the front of the toe less blunt so she could wedge the popper into spaces tighter than pallets. She had intuitively identified the next significant step forward in both improving poppers and finding more uses for them.

It turns out they are also great for barn-boards, corral boards and deck boards.

The Toes!

  • The “SECRET SAUCE” to the Homesteader Popper is in the TOES, which allows the Popper to engage the wood at the optimal geometic angle.

The bottom of the “toes” are machined to a thinner wedge.

  • The machined toe makes it much easier to wedge the popper in between closely spaced and tightly fastened boards such as barn-boards or deck boards.

So, with the additional features of the tapered toes and the safety grip handle, the Homesteader has proven to be our most popular version.

The Homesteader comes in “Easy to Find” yellow.

My introduction to the PALLET POPPER brought on immediate and fierce symptoms of selfishness … “I WANT one of those!!” Projects I had admired were now possibilities and the creative juices began to flow. I gathered my group of crafty girls (ages 8-13) and we began dismantling pallets. With just a few pointers, the girls were making progress. The younger ones needed a bit of extra muscle applied to the handle of the Pallet Popper but they too finished the day with a pile of useable boards. After a few more sessions, each girl proudly displayed her personalized Deck Chair. Now the question is …”What shall we make next?” Or maybe the first question needs to be …”Where is hubby with my PALLET POPPER?”
